Barkman Furniture to Unveil Two New Lines at All American Furniture Expo
Barkman Furniture will continue to uphold their reputation of quality and innovation by releasing two new lines at the 2015 All American Furniture Expo. The Montpelier line will feature classic, timeless styling inspired by architecture of homes in Vermont’s capital. The Montpelier bedroom line will be complemented well by Barkman’s cherry and brown maple stains. The Harbor Cove line will “elicit images of early morning mist rising among fishing boats at their moorings.” This line is scaled to be appropriate for most any dining setting, and has a gently aged appeal in subtle, rub-off finishes.
Along with their two new lines, Barkman Furniture will be showing fresh new variations of live edge styling, the fastest growing segment of their business. Keystone Wholesale Shows Under New, But Familiar Ownership
The Keystone Wholesale shows were formed in 2002 with the primary purpose of helping our local plain businesses sell their products to wholesale buyers from across the country. While they still have a passion for the plain communities, they now include manufacturers from all over the country. In March of 2015 the partners at Keystone decided it was time to take a step back from the shows to give them more time to spend with their grandchildren. They put the Keystone Wholesale Shows on the market, with the intent of finding a buyer with the same passion for quality, American Made products that has kept the shows a success for 13 years.
In September 2015, Brandi Hurst-Sunday purchased the Keystone Wholesale Shows from her mother, Wanda, and the rest of the partners. Brandi grew up helping her Mom run the shows, and has worked in the wholesale business herself for 5 years. When asked about the shows, Brandi said “I am excited to be able to continue the show. I’m working close with the previous owners to bring the buyers and manufacturers another awesome year.” Brandi has begun planning the show and speaking to vendors, and has booked the Utz building at the York Convention Center on February 24th and 25th, 2016. She is very excited about the opportunity to continue the shows, and bringing quality wholesale products to wholesale buyers across the country.
