A New Take on Storage Sheds Drives the Industry In New Direction
Over the past 10 years innovations in the shed industry have been minimal. The change from wood to vinyl, and other small innovations regarding insulation, siding, and roofing are among a few. Over the course of 2015, however, consumers have taken the storage shed in an interesting new direction.
What many are dubbing “Shedquarters” (Pro.Com), adding a room to the backyard is the biggest trend of 2015. Rather than struggle with the hassle and expense of a home addition, homeowners are opting to turn a storage shed into a spare room right in their backyard. Be it a spare bedroom, an office, a pool house, or a playroom for the kids, consumers are loving their backyard getaways.
All American Wholesalers features multiple wholesalers capable of building your customers their dream “Shedquarter.” Browse our “Storage Barns” category by following the link below.

2015 Furniture Trends Feature New Colors, and a Return to Minimalism
2015 has been an interesting year in furniture design. I am given the pleasure of updating manufacturer profile pages with new products, and attending trade shows where manufacturers showcase their newest pieces. Being relatively new to the wholesale market, it has been very interesting getting the opportunity to follow furniture trends over the year,(and noticing how out of touch I am with my apartment furniture).
As I was browsing the booths at the 2015 All American Furniture Expo with a friend, I noticed a new stain that had a presence in multiple manufacturer booths. The name of the stain depends on the manufacturer, but it is a grey, slate shade. One of our featured manufacturers, Elm Crest Furniture, features this color in their new line, and now offers “Antique Slate,” as an option on their multiple lines.
I also noticed an increase in live edge hardwood tables, often reinforced with bow tie splines. These pieces feature a rough-cut look and feel around the edges, and a smooth, sanded top. These tables are a perfect accent to rustic design themes that have been gaining popularity in the last few years.
These are a few of the design themes I’ve noticed during 2015, what do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comment section and, and check out our “Indoor Furniture” category to browse innovative manufacturers of American-made furniture!

American Made Products Continue to Grow in Popularity
In 2008 after the American economy crashed, imports became an extremely attractive option to wholesale buyers and retail consumers. Consumers were willing accept a lower quality product due to the drastically lower prices imports offered. Almost 8 years later, a lot has changed in the wholesale market, and consumers are looking for the quality that goes along with American-made Products.
In a recent study done by www.consumerreports.com, 8 in 10 American consumers say they would rather buy an American-made product than an imported one. This is partly to do with the economy being on the rise again, and consumers are more interested in purchasing a quality product. Consumers are also interested in helping the American economy, and purchasing from companies that have high standards for fair labor and product quality (www.makersrow.com). So, as this trend continues to grow, how are you acommodating your customers' desires for quality, American-made products?
We at All American Wholesalers would like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving, and another year of making American-made products more accessible to consumers!
